My Birthday
March 11th, 2010I had a wonderful and enjoyable birthday on Saturday. Besides all the other special stuff, my wife arranged to get me a new SQ36 Meadow Creek Smoker! I didn’t have a clue about it until we drove up to my dad’s house where we were going to smoke with my brother’s smoker (or so I thought!).
I’ve wanted a small backyard smoker for quite a while, so I’m quite delighted. Mine has a second tier grate and one of those optional grill pans, so I can grill steaks and burgers, OR smoke ribs, chicken, brisket, or whatever with an offset firebox.
We also fired up the BBQ26S Chicken Cooker and grilled some steaks, which I had marinated overnight and seasoned with a homemade mixture. Of course, everything turned out delicious, and we had lots of left-overs. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

WOW…. what an awesome gift. I’m saving for a smoker myself. I’ve been a fan of Smokey Mountain since retiring from the military in 2005. I wish they had a lay-a-way program to make it easier on us (we can hide a little each week from our spouses, LOL). Enjoy your gift and keep the pictures rolling.

Sweet Birthday present my family got me one of the 22 1/2 WSMS for my birthday . Hey they give out smokers at yalls birthday , dont you want a older brother , LOL!!!!

cool deal that smoker looks awsome i bet you guys had a blast i have a tiny mr meat smoker but one of these years ill be able to get a big boy like yours ,hope you had a happy birthday from the photos it looks like you did . god bless n keep in touch billy of mount shasta ca

Happy Birthday Lavern, fantastic Smoker your wife got you there guy. Congatulations, will be working on my wife to get me one like that. I suppose I will have to show her these pictures over and over and teach her how much better these Meadow Creek smokers are over my setup. Looking forward to more news from you all summer. Doug

Happy birthday. Perfect gift for a meat lover. Last week I smoked a brisket on a chicken grill while visiting family in the US. (a little hard to keep the temp low enough but it was good ) Sure would have liked your present. I must make picures of my big bash at the end of May. We will be smoking seasoned beef roasts from my on animals, a pig on the PR 72, and Bacons on the little smoker. You should join us. I would like to make those potatoes in the picture. can you send me the instructions.
