    With second tier is it possible to cook two hogs at once? Thanks.from pic doesn’t look like the lid would close.

    Sorry, no it wouldn’t work. The second tier grate is for butts, ribs, etc.

    Is it possible to have both gas and a slide out charcoal tray on the same cooker? No need to use both at the same time. Just one or the other.

    No, but you can use the charcoal insert which straddles the gas burner. Get the one with holes in the middle so you can load it with charcoal, burn charcoal for a while, then turn on the gas when the charcoal dies down.
