Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from Yoder’s Smoky Mountain Barbecue!

I want to let you know that we won’t be taking calls or answering e-mails for a couple days over the holiday. But plan to open back up on Monday. It doesn’t look like we’ll be able to smoke up a turkey for Thanksgiving Day—an oven-cooked one will have to do. But if you’ve got that on your agenda, here is an article I wrote that will walk you through the steps of smoking a turkey in a BBQ smoker:

Wishing you a great holiday as you count your blessings with family and friends.

Thank you,

Warning: Your Mouth Will Want Some of This!

Last month our church had a picnic at the state park. We grilled chicken and hot dogs with two BBQ42 Chicken Cookers. Marlin even had his fancy 4-Bowl Stainless Steel Sink rig there. It’s got hot water and the whole works.

An Embarrassing Confession

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

Last week we finally did our first cook on a Meadow Creek pig roaster.

After selling these cookers for almost two years and watching the pig cookers become our best sellers, Marlin was eager to get started!

We cooked 60 lbs. of chicken leg quarters, a bunch of potato wedges, and a couple boneless turkey breasts. On the side, we cooked a couple small pizzas for treats during the cook.  :-)

The BBQ turned out great in spite of some rain. Thankfully, Marlin had his canopy set up and everything went well.
