The Big Announcement

December 29th, 2016

After a lot of thinking and planning, we’ve decided to shut down Yoder’s Smoky Mountain Barbecue, our Meadow Creek dealership in Kalona, Iowa.

In short, this is what’s happening:

  • Yoder’s Smoky Mountain Barbecue is permanently closed and Marlin is no longer selling Meadow Creek equipment.
  • I, Lavern Gingerich, have secured a position with Meadow Creek as their online marketing agent.

You may be reading this because you have an interest in Meadow Creek’s smokers and grills.

If so, what this change means for you:

  • You will need to find another dealer to work with (see Meadow Creek’s dealer locator here), but don’t worry. As Meadow Creek’s online brand ambassador, our job is to make sure you are taken care of.
  • We will be able to better content around Meadow Creek equipment in 2017, which should be a lot of fun.

I look forward to working more closely with Melvin and Ivan, the owners of Meadow Creek Welding, keeping you in the loop with interesting articles and stories and the latest in product development.

Sizzling regards,

Lavern Gingerich

Sorry to see you guys go..I know…I know…everything changes. The only reason I got a MC smoker is because of you guys and your great website. I drooled over your photos more times than I want to say. Even though I bought a used smoker…it did come from you when you were in Tennessee. When I had questions you answered right away and treated me like a friend not a customer, for that I thank you!

I wish you both well and thank you for all that you both have done for all these years.

What did you think of the videos? Meadow Creek makes some amazing smokers, pig roasters, chicken cookers, and grills. All this equipment is made in the Amish Community of Lancaster County, PA. The talented craftsmen at Meadow Creek hand-make each unit. They seriously go the extra mile to make sure you’re smoked pink. What really puts the sauce on the brisket is all the revolutionary features and options that make barbecue fun and easy, and even a money-machine, if BBQ is your business.
Integrity: Meadow Creek cookers are made in a culture of Godly ethics—honesty, diligence, and fairness. Whether it’s a Shoo-fly pie or a barbecue smoker, you will be treated right.
Stainless Steel Grates: Every Meadow Creek barbecue cooker comes standard with non-rusting stainless steel grates. This eliminates the hassle of scrubbing rust and the danger of possible rust contamination on your meat.
